Transferring a domain ending away from Nimbus
If you'd like to transfer a domain ending .uk away from Nimbus, it is a relatively simple process.
The transfer process for a .co.uk domain or any domain ending in .uk (.co.uk/.uk/.org.uk etc) is done by changing the domains Nominet Registar tag. The Nominet Registrar tag simply dictates who the registrar is for your domain (who you pay the renewal fee too).
To do this log into the Nimbus client area using the following link: https://youraccount.nimbushosting.co.uk/clientarea.php
Once logged in go to Domains -> My Domains to see the list of domains you currently have registered with us.
Select the domain that you're looking to transfer, click on the down arrow on the right hand side and select Manage Domain.
Select Change Nominet Tag on the left hand side of the screen and enter the New Nominet Registrar Tag in the box and select Release Domain.
Note 1: Whilst we don't delete DNS Zones when a domain is transferred out, you might want to move the domain over to the new registrars Nameservers - they should be able to assist you with this.

Transferring ALL other domains from Nimbus (other than CentralNic .uk.com, uk.net)
The transfer process for a .com domain (or anything that doesn't end in a .uk for example .com/.net/.org/.co/.agency/.digital) involves a number of steps.
To do this log into the Nimbus client area using the following link: https://youraccount.nimbushosting.co.uk/clientarea.php
Go to Domains -> My Domains to see the list of domains you currently have registered with us. Also check that the admin contact is up to date as during the transfer process they will receive some important emails that will require action.
Select the domain that you're looking to transfer, click on the down arrow on the right hand side and select Manage Domain.
Unlock the domain ready for the transfer by selecting the Registrar Lock link on the left hand side and select Disable Registrar Lock.
Then select Get Auth Code on the left had side and your EPP Code will display.
You'll then need to use this EPP/Auth code at the new registrar to pull the domain across. The transfer process generally takes around 3-5 working days.
